Hair Hanging for Beginners 

In this workshop, participants can delve into the aerial art of hanging by their hair. This introductory session provides performers with the necessary tools to develop proficiency in hair suspension.

Workshop content: 

Introduction to Hair Suspension Technique and Theory

Movement and Exploration of Hair Suspension

Built-in techniques:

    • -Mindfulness

    • -Meditation

    • -Concentration

The senses evoke various emotions in response to the body’s needs on the way to mastering hair suspension technique.

Specific objectives

Participants will…

Develop hair suspension technique.

Learn about the materials required for hair suspension and receive recommendations for hair care

Cultivate mindfulness, meditation, and concentration skills, in addition to mastering hair suspension

Acquire knowledge of ideal warm-up exercises and movements for hair suspension

Gain the ability to experiment with suspension in a safely and enjoyably

All Participants Welcome:

This workshop welcomes individuals of all levels interested in learning and exploring hair suspension, with no prior experience required. Participants should have hair below the shoulder.

REQUIREMENTS FOR WORKSHOP PARTICIPANTS

    • At least shoulder-length hair

    • A half-liter bottle like the one in image A or something similar

    • Comfortable clothing and NO hair product (oil, gel, mousse, cream, etc.)

    • Hair tie

    • Small rubber bands

    • A large towel 

    • Atomic Brush 

    • Atomizer with water

Straps workshop:

Description:

This workshop covers fundamental elements, transitions, and sequences constituting the biomechanics of movement on the straps, following the DET/DST methodology.

The DET methodology is a training plan focused on the systematic approach to regular training.

Besides these three elements, participants will study, execute, and assimilate various strap elements progressively.

Topics Include:

Describing and training elements progressively and safely

Dynamic and static elements in the technique of spins and swings

Specific exercises for conditioning and stretching pre and post-training

Utilizing biomechanical movement to enhance resistance and force while minimizing energy expenditure

This course is suitable for anyone interested in reading movements and developing techniques on aerial straps
