Flexibility and contortion classes may seem intimidating if you are not very flexible, but our classes are completely beginner friendly. Flexibility and contortion is our specialty. Most Miami, Florida based contortionists and yoga practitioners end up coming to our studio to train and become more flexible! While the flexibility and contortion classes take place on the ground, they are great classes for aerialists. Being flexible can give the most basic aerial moves a real WOW factor!

Below are some things you can expect from Cirque Art Studio’s flexibility and contortion classes.

The class is open to all levels of flexibility.

You do not need to be flexible before coming to class. You do not have to be able to do a leg split or be able to bend to the point where you can touch your head to your knees or toes to go to our flexibility or contortion classes. We work with all levels of flexibility, from complete beginners to experienced contortionists. With continued practice, our classes will help you become more flexible.

You do not need to bring a yoga mat or yoga blocks.

Our studio is equipped with enough yoga mats, yoga blocks, and foam rollers for our flexibility and contortion classes. We also offer water bottles for you to stay hydrated throughout class. For sanitary purposes, we have everyone wipe down the mats and blocks after they are finished using them. You do not need to bring a mat and or blocks for your flexibility and contortion classes; however, you are welcome to bring your own items if you prefer.

Our coaches provide direct guidance with a hands-on approach.

At our flexibility and contortion classes, our coaches do more than just show you and tell you what to do. Our coaches will typically provide a helping hand. Coaches gently push you into a deeper stretch and will hold you in that deeper stretch for some time. The gentle push is the hands-on guidance that helps many students increase their flexibility to reach levels that they find difficult to do on their own. Our coaches are very experienced with this approach, they make sure not to push you too far, just enough to help you reach a deeper level of flexibility.

Progress comes with consistent practice.

Results take time, progress comes with consistency. As you practice, you will start noticing a world of difference on how your body feels. For some students, that noticeable difference is within weeks, for others, within two to three months. Many adult students notice an increase in range of motion and a reduction of aches and pains. We offer Adult Flexibility and Contortion classes in our studio three times a week and a virtual class once a week. You will get the support you need to help you with your goal of becoming more flexible.
